Thoughts of Mine: English Class's Personal Sharing

This-for the first time-is my first writing in blog's world about a review for what I've gotten and done in my semester for english lesson. I even create a new blog for this *giggle*. Actually I don't know what to write (It's truly an honesty. I wonder if you reader appreciated that because my teacher told me to do this review and he is reading my writing perhaps. Anyway, I don't know what he's thinking after read this but I'm sure it's not too good) and this will be freshly come from my deepest brain. So keep your eyes up reading.

Oh, I almost forget. Before I started, I thank to god for all kindness that almost always makes me crying (I'm totally a melancholy person, fyi), and for my teacher, Mr. Emery Filemon (the whole name is true, isn't it?) Who has improved my english skill. Thank you so much, sir. Keep up your good work =D

And for myself, I'm Nina. 16 Years old. Taller than most of her friends, wear a rimmed black glasses, has short wavy black hair, and like playing music so much.

(Why do I think this is so much more like speech text than review text? ha-ha whatever)

So, where do I have to start first? Oh. When I saw his name on my lessons' schedule as my english teacher. I thought who was this Mr. Emery? I'd never seen this name for the whole my years in my school life. I even didn't know what his face like. Apparently so were my friends. Then we decided to think that he is an International class teacher (We've often felt kind of strange for inter teachers). I was a little bit nervous because I didn't know what is his teaching's style. Maybe, Like one of my killer teachers? or my kind-patient teacher? I wished he would be like the second idea. Perhaps you know how tired someone in facing those killer teachers.
But he didn't come for his first in my class. I guessed he was had something urgent or whatever it was. The next class he didn't come, too. Then I thought where was he? Was he know there's a class he had to teach? But finally he popped up.
Soon I realised indeed he is an International class teacher because indeed I've often been seeing him teaching in international class. Besides, I know his face (I saw him when I was in welcoming ceremony of Japanese school singing with my school's choir). Then he demanded my class to tell a little about themselves, in 3 minutes. I thought what did I have to say? 3 minutes was too short if I told the whole myself and 3 minutes was too long if I told a little about myself. So when my turn came, I chose tell a little about myself. I told mostly about how I love and want to live in Netherlands. You know Netherlands? Here are the pictures:

(I wish someday I live there, not just visiting again, but living)

I couldn't help but surprised because apparently he has knowledge about Netherlands. And I couldn't understand anymore, he has knowledge about many nation, and of course as a teacher, scholarship, too. I thought how cool he is! I've never seen any teacher like him. And also, he care about his students' future.
He is so cool, That's my impression about him. (I'll assure myself to run PDQ when I saw him).
On the next class, he gave my class an assignment. It was toefl test, and it was really so hard. I'd almost never passed the test. It made me irritated. Alternative way, I called my sister for help, but she didn't help so much (actually she did, but it's not pure, isn't it? yeah, I know it). Until one day in my life, I did the test again with very high concentration (I prayed first).
And...
I passed the test, oh my god. I gaped. All I could think was, "Tell me it's not serious, tell me it's not serious". I was elated, like I'd exploded. My mind screamed, "I'm so freakin smart!". Then I thought my english isn't that bad. (Sorry, I don't have the picture!!)
The next week, he gave my class a test. And that test's type was almost same with the hell dammit  toelf test *sigh*. It recalled the event when I did the toefl test irritably. It bothered me, which made me didn't do the test maximally.
The next class, he gave my class another assignment. He demanded us to create short story based on the fairy tale stories we know. But it wasn't allowed to create the story so same with the original fairytale. We had to improved it. After that, We had to show the story in front of class via acting. He divided my class into 7 groups. I was in group 5.
Evidently no one in my group could make the story. They didn't have any idea in writing. Speaking of writing, I like writing story. So, the task was delegated to me. They did the rests. Anyway, I made the story based on three little pig and a wolf. I combined it with my idea and it became two pig and a wolf with a freaking ghost. Here are the scripts, made by me.

And I got the man's character when we did the character's cast.
On the deadline day, every groups presented their story. One of them had almost same story with mine and thank god it was not so damn same. It was three little wolf and a pig. Anyway they all were great. But for my group's presenting, I wasn't satisfied at all. Several of us forgot the dialogue (it was so awkwardly awkward. I have no desire to tell it) but at the end, we did it pretty greatly. We never do practice even (We must be a great actor and actress =D, and yeah it's true. We should be a hollywood actor and actress =D) and I also had fun with my friends by taking photos (We wore cloth based on our story. Anyway, there was no one wore uniform). Well, we the teenager are narcissistic. Here are several of the photos.

I thought I had a blast that time ;)

The next class, he didn't come.
The next class, he came and discussed a lesson from book. It's about... I forgot, oke?
The another next class, he didn't come
And the next week after the another next class, he came again. And what did he do? Oh, right. Quipper.
However he told us about Quipper school. At first he said that Quipper, the words "What the hell is that" running in my mind. Seemingly it's a website or something like that for posting (done by teacher) and doing assignments (done by student). He posted 6 topic assignment that I had to do firstly. Then, he gave more, more, and so on. He said that I have to check the quipper every weekend.
I myself honestly like the quipper. It's such a kids game. The display screen is really like the kids game. There are many kids-like picture such a space view, or a village view. Here is the background.

And when I do the topic,  it's more kids-like than the display view. Say, if my answer is true, there will pop out many yellow stars from I don't know where, substantially it pop from middle. Then, followed by green circle with words in it, like "Great!", "On fire!", "One in a row!", "Two in a row!", "Three in a row!", and the point above or beneath the words. And there's another. When I get wrong, there will pop a red word "close!" in it. I love green and I hate red.

So, every time when I do the topic, my heart always go pounding, wishing every answer that I choose will make the green circle pop up. And my kids' and fighter side has always been swelling when it comes about green and red word.
The next class, he came and gave us another assignment. We had to do speech in front of the class. The topic was about hopes and dreams. But earlier, we had to make the speech's script which had to be given to the teacher. Oh, and the speech's duration was about 3 minutes. I made a pretty long script while my friends made a short one. When they saw my script, they all were surprised. They said my script was too long, but I thought it was not too long.

Not too long, right?

But then when I did my speech, apparently indeed the script was too long because I was stopped by my friend because the time wasn't enough. You know, I always do something so detail. I hate if I miss even a part. It will not fulfil me. But my teacher said that my speech was good, so was my script. It made me felt better. Thank you, sir!
Yeah, he even said that I could be a good writer. I like writing, but have never thought, even considered thought about being a writer.  He suggested that the occupation don't have to be my main career, it's more like part-time. I thought about it a day and decided to consider it later (hehe). My brain always go freezing every time I think about my career, even the university I will go to. It will need a full day to think about it (actually to fight that freezing disease). Anyway I haven't had a full free day latest and I'm looking for it.
Oh, I tell you one thing. My teacher is like a father. He talks like a father, listens like a father, and he care about his students' future. Just like a father. And he is really do a father (I've heard him said he has a child I don't know). But never ever I've seen a teacher who act truly father-like. He listened every his students' speech, and advised them in order to make their eyes open to the bigger world. He said the world isn't just about doctor and engineers (most of my friends dreamed to be doctor or engineer). Say, you could be a president *giggle*. Who knows? am I right? Anyway I dreamed to be an accountant, fyi. Most of my family are an accountant, so it was obvious I want to be like them, too. Besides, I have no desire to be any other than it.
And now, maybe this is the final assignment. He demanded my class to make a review about english class with him, which I'm writing for.
So how was my english class? if it was a book, I will give it five star. When he didn't come, there was a biology or math exam so I could study. When he came, there was nothing. He did it promptly.
I tell you, the comparison of meeting teacher like him is 1 : 10. And I'm the lucky one who can meet the one among ten. (Oh hell, I'm gonna crying. My lesson has finished and he'll not teach me anymore perhaps. So, this writing can be a goodbye to him ;(. )
Okay, there's no memory anymore in my deepest brain to share. So I think that'll be all.
I'm going to check my quipper now and if there are topics I have to do, wish me luck to pop up many green circle.
Bye. Catch you up later =D
